Liberty University Student Activities asked for my help to create a poster for their biggest event of the whole school year, the Christmas Coffeehouse. Christmas Coffeehouse, which is a longstanding Liberty University tradition, is basically a massive talent show that could attract about 5,000 of its students each year.

Christmas Coffeehouse, is all about the atmosphere; it is about something that throws you back to your childhood memories. So for this poster I wanted to create something that incorporate things that are near and dear with people's perception of Christmas time.

Besides because of the atmospheric value, the other reason that we chose to do a little town style of figurines is because these typical of Christmas time figurines always have all the elements of a perfect Christmas that everybody dreamed of. So little town that is! But now with a loveable abominable snowman in the background, he is big but he is super friendly. Special thanks to Ashley Witherington who helped build the set with me.

For me sketches are not made to restrict my creativity, but it is a crucial guideline during the process of production. It is because most of the time, circumstances will come up and will either restrict or open another door for your creativity. In these moments you will be forced to improvise and depend on your sense for design.
